For six weeks, the artist Ivana Radovanovic explored first Brest and then Dresden. For the Serb, who lives in Austria, both are completely unknown cities. She enters into exchange with a wide variety of local people and feels the atmosphere of the city. She discovers the history, architecture and topography of both cities. What do the two cities look like? What kind of feelings do they evoke? Ivana Radovanovic is a studied composer and for this reason she asks herself above all the question: How do the two cities sound? She listens carefully, pays attention to all sounds and collects them by recording them.
With all these recorded sounds she composes a piece of music that reflects her personal impression of the cities and creates a new kind of connection between the two cities. She will present this piece to the public in the final traveling exhibition, which will take place first in Brest in the summer of 2023 and then in Dresden in the fall of 2023. In the spring of 2024, it will come to Brno (Czech Republic). It will also be exposed in other European cities thereafter.
